100KM Mumbai Cycling Circuit

So I wanted to test my endurance level, and I decided to make my own custom cycling circuit. Which eventually I thought, why not go around Mumbai city.

The circuit which I made:

My custom Mumbai Cycling routemap

Haji-Ali => Shivaji Park => Sanjay Gandhi National Park => Ghodbunder road => Thane => Sion => Thakurdwar

Yeah!!! It covers almost all Mumbai, left colaba and fort aside as too much traffic.

My gear-list

Started @5.30am on morning when the temperature was very low.

Early morning

Reached Sanjay Gandhi National Park @8.10am

Paddled Distance :35KM

Sanjay Gandhi National Park

Took a quick break, consumed some dried-fruits and re-hydrated.

Got some horrible traffic after Dahisar Toll was very difficult to paddle.

As I passed this patch, then roads were quite empty and scentic

Now I reached the Vasai Creek

Paddled Distance :46KM

Now I reached the Ghodbunder @Decathlon, which is every adventurers paradise 🙂

Paddled Distance :46KM

Here I made a change in my plan, as I was exhausted I have cut short my circuit. From here I was supposed to goto NH4 and reach Panvel and from Panvel-Sion Expressway reach Mumbai. Looking after conditions I then moved for Plan-B, directly goto Sion and Mumbai.

Got again hydrated and intaked some calories.

Now i reached Cadbury Junction of Thane.

Paddled Distance :60KM

Now from Western Express Highway to Ghodbunder, it was time to connect Eastern Express Highway to get inside Mumbai.

And I came back with total distance covered 105KM 😀

As this was my 2nd Cycling trip, first was Mumbai to Velas. Feels amazing, looking for new adventure 🙂
